I hope you are all safe and well during these difficult and challenging times.
Before the Easter break the school put together a programme for the children to study from the website Classroom Secrets. We felt this was one of the best programmes available at the time, given the short notice we had to prepare.
In the meantime, we have been considering what we feel would be the most beneficial option for our children, in our school. I asked subject leaders to create their own packs of learning for each year group in the subject they are responsible for and they have produced activities that start with what the children have already learnt then take the learning on. We felt that this was more appropriate, realistic, and beneficial for our children.
Each year group has subjects with activities available for the children to complete.

My advice to parents would be to keep Maths and English learning as far as possible in the morning, then use the other subject activities on the afternoon. The English learning pack is the only one that is different and the new activities in this pack although organised into year groups will be put on the school web site on a weekly basis. All other subjects are organised by year group and should last until May half term when we will review the situation.
I would like to add that there are now many websites out there offering activities for the children to complete. Classroom Secrets have now produced additional material and if you and the children liked what they completed in the weeks leading up to half term then please use what you feel is best for your children at this time.
Other websites that I found that I think might be useful I have included in the links below:
This pack (Daily Live Activities) gives links to lessons and ideas that are all available on TV through a range of subjects.
This link gives a supportive pack for writing activities.
I hope that you find all the activities the subject leaders have prepared useful and thank you for your continued support. If you have any concerns, worries or difficulties about the Home Learning then please do not hesitate to contact us either by phone or email and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Stay safe and well
