Welcome to Hill View Junior Academy

Hill View Junior Academy is a school that values standards and achievements. We are extremely proud of what goes on here. As our website demonstrates, the pupils of Hill View Junior Academy are supported by dedicated staff, governors and parents.

We are part of Vision Learning Trust, along with Hill View Infant Academy, and have 470 children in four year groups starting at Year 3 and finishing at Year 6.

You can find us on Queen Alexandra Road, (just along from the Eye Infirmary). Alternatively, you can contact the school by phoning 0191 594 7982 and ask to speak to our Office Manager, Mrs. Helen Howat.  A copy of our admission arrangements can be found in the Key Information section under Admissions.

We will be celebrating Harvest Festival within school on the morning of Thursday 19th October . We are celebrating Harvest with a whole school assembly, singing of harvest songs and a visit from Father David.
 
This year, we are pleased to be supporting Sunderland Foodbank and Pallion Action Group. We would be extremely grateful for any donations to help fill up their foodbanks for the local community. Food (such as tins, jars of sauces, pasta, rice, packet soups, cereals, biscuits and other non-perishable items) donations can be sent in with your child on Wednesday 18th October.

As mentioned in the Autumn newsletter, Lumi Nova a digital therapy app has been rolled out across the Sunderland area for 7-12 year olds facing difficulties with fears and  anxieties.

Reminder that Friday is our Macmillan Cake Sale.

If you kindly choose to donate any cakes to our bake sale, please can your child bring them in on the morning of the 28th or 29th

Children are allowed to bring in a maximum of £3 on the 29th in order to purchase some cakes from our bake sale.
